Laboratory analysis

Our seeds are grown in one of the leading GMP-certified facilities in Europe. Each batch of our seeds undergoes extensive testing in German laboratories to ensure that only the healthiest and most viable seeds reach our customers.

We specifically test for viruses such as Alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV) , Cannabis cryptic virus (CCV) , Hop latent viroid (HLVd) and Lettuce chlorosis virus (LCV) using the RT-qPCR test, a highly sensitive method that detects and precisely quantifies specific viral RNA sequences in our samples.

Why do we test our seeds?

Infected seed can cause serious problems, including:

Low germination rate: Diseased seeds often fail to germinate, wasting time and resources.
Poor plant health: Plants from infected seeds are usually weaker and more susceptible to further diseases.
Susceptibility to disease: Infected seeds have a higher risk of spreading infections such as fungi, viruses and bacteria.
Reduced yield: Weaker plants result in fewer and inferior flowers.
Increased care requirements: Sick plants require more care, which increases production costs.
Risk of contamination: Diseases from infected seeds can spread to healthy plants and threaten entire crops.
Delayed growth: Infections can slow or stop plant growth, delaying harvest.
Genetic instability: Infected seeds can result in unpredictable plant characteristics and inconsistent results.
Higher costs: Additional expenses for treatment, replacement and increased care can significantly increase the overall cost.
